Grand Teton National Park Tour

Depart Cody at 7:30am and travel up the Wapiti Valley (the most scenic 52 miles in America) and enter Yellowstone National Park through the east gate. We will travel over Sylvan Pass and around Yellowstone Lake heading south to Grand Teton National Park. We will stop along the shore of Jackson Lake viewing the breathtaking Grand Teton Mountains. We will continue across the Jackson Lake Dam, heading south to the Jenny Lake Road enjoying the scenic beauty of Jenny Lake with the backdrop of the Tetons. This is a scenic photographers delight. Wildlife is abundant in this area, it is a mecca for moose, and river otter. We will travel back to Cody arriving at approximately 7:00pm.

Local Cody Tour - Choose from local attractions to include Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Old Trail Town, Buffalo Bill Dam and Reservoir, Colters Hell, and Historic Natural and Native American sites. We can take you to see ancient Native American campsites and show you the teepee rings and firepits or we can take you to see prehistoric fossils.

Hayden Tour (Lower Loop)

This tour is named for the Hayden expedition that traveled through this area of Yellowstone in 1871. It took them all summer to travel through the park. On our tour we will see the southern half in one day! We will depart Cody at approximately 7:30 am. Travel through the Wapiti Valley "the most scenic 52 miles in America" to the East entrance of the park. This tour includes: Yellowstone Lake, Lake Hotel, Fishing Bridge, West Thumb, the Continental Divide, Old Faithful Geyser and other geyser basins, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the Lower Falls (308' high) and the Hayden Valley (abundant wildlife). We will return to Cody at approximately 6:00 pm.

Our experienced guides will guide you through the park ensuring your enjoyment and safety, however travel through the backcountry is not without risk. Yellowstone contains some truly wild country. John Colter Tour (Beartooths)

Depart Cody at 7:30 am and travel over the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway. On this route you will see incredible geological formations to include Absoroka lava formations, sedimentary formations and the results of the glacial periods. This is one of our most scenic tours and includes panoramas and vistas to delight the visitors and photographers with spectacular views. It will include the Sunlight Basin, Upper Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River, Historic Cooke City (old mining town) and Beartooth Mountains which have some of the most scenic high alpine meadows, lakes and glaciers in America. The wildflowers are in their prime in July and August. Then we will travel on to Red Lodge, Montana and travel along the eastern front of the Beartooth Mountains, returning to Cody at approximately 6:00 pm.

McCulloch Peaks - Wild Horse Tour

Depart Cody at 7:30 am and travel east to the McCulloch Peaks to see wild horses and other wildlife including numerous antelope. Then continuing east to Shell to visit the Dinosaur tracks and fossils. This tour can offer two options at this point. You can either visit Native American petroglyphs or travel through the Big Horn Mountains to Shell Falls and the scenic canyons. We will return to Cody by 5:00 pm.

Northfork Tour

Depart Cody and travel up the Northfork of the Shoshone River through the Wapiti Valley (The Most Scenic 52 miles in America), see pre-Cambrian granite formations, dolomite limestone formations, Absoroka lava flow formations (you can see all sorts of characters and shapes in them&. The goose, the old lady in the cabin, holy city, chimney rock, the trinity, elephant head, three men on a bobsled, the foot, the iron etc), and numerous wildlife. During December through May the Big Horn Mountain Sheep are available for the photographers cameras. Then continue on to the historic Pahaska Teepee (Buffalo Bills former hunting lodge). On the way back to Cody, its fun to see the lava formations from a different view and name some new ones!

This tour includes: Wildlife Photography, Photo Walks, Video Opportunities, Scenic Landscape Photography, and tips on picture composition. Sunrise to Sunset Trips are available that are specially planned photo workshops for Beginners, Intermediates or Advanced Photographers. These trips are custom designed for the photographer and we will work with you on determining your interests and where we will travel to get the best opportunities for photography. We suggest 3 - 5 day trips.

Southfork Tour

Depart Cody and travel up the Southfork of the Shoshone River. As we follow the river through the valley, the spectacular Carter Mountain is on the your left with scenic views of other numerous mountains and valleys. We will cross the historic Cody Salsbury canal which brought the first water and irrigation to the Cody. On this tour you will see the TE foothills, that were part of Bill Codys former cattle ranch as well as other historic and majestic ranches. Wildlife in this area is abundant and we recommend that this tour be taken at either dawn or dusk.

Trout Fishing in Yellowstone

Depart Cody for a guided fishing trip in the spectacular waters of Yellowstone National Park. Fishing in Yellowstone is experiencing some of the most pristine waters in America. It provides an opportunity to the fly fisherman and stimulates the senses with beauty of no other place on earth. We are happy to guide both proficient fisherman as well as beginners. Our guides will show you the best spots to fish in the park. We have some fishing rods that you can use if you have not packed you own. Most fishing in Yellowstone is catch and release to provide a continued success for the fisherman.

Washburn Tour (Upper Loop)

This tour is named for the Washburn/Langford/Doane expedition that traveled through this area of Yellowstone in 1870. This expedition recognized the need for this area to be preserved for future generations. On our tour we will depart Cody at approximately 7:30 am. Travel to the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park via the scenic and historic Chief Joseph Scenic Highway. This tour includes the Lamar Valley (abundant wildlife), Roosevelt Lodge, Mammoth Hot Springs and Terraces, Norris Geyser Basin, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Then we will travel through the Hayden Valley (abundant wildlife), Fishing Bridge, Yellowstone Lake and depart the park through the East gate and return to Cody via the Wapiti Valley (the most scenic 52 miles in America) at approximately 6:00 pm.

Our winter wildlife tours can include several areas of interest:
Wildlife: The wildlife in the Cody area is numerous during the winter months. This provides excellent photographic opportunities. On a typical day we will spot Elk, Bison, Mule Deer, White Tail Deer, Eagles, Hawks, Big Horn Mountain Sheep and Moose. On occasion we have even spotted River Otter playing at the river.
Scenic: The scenic beauty of the Cody area during the winter months is spectacular. Seeing the pink sunrises and sunsets is magnificent. On sunny days the light shining on the snow-covered mountains is spectacular.
Photographic: The photographic opportunities in the Cody area during the winter months are excellent. The wildlife is more abundant, the light is perfect and the background of snow in your photos provides an excellent backdrop.
History: Our guide will tell stories that bring the Old West alive. The history of the early settlers of the Cody area is quite colorful. See the early homesteads, hear true stories of the founders of Cody, see the magnificent ranches that are still in existence and hear about how they were developed.
Geology: The geology in the Cody area is magnificent. Not only is it an excellent example of glacial and thermal geology, but also has limestone formations; Morrison formations, Chugwater formations, Goose egg formations, lava flow formations and excellent opportunities to see fossils in their natural state.
Yellowstone Park: From mid December until early March, the North Entrance of the park remains open. The roads to the park headquarters are open. This is extraordinarily beautiful in the winter.
